So every design should support these contingencies, the distinct imperfections and the slow amalgamation in heightening the ideals of Architecture.

They help in driving our narrative, making the user feel human and part of the larger landscape through this Building.

And only after we pay undivided attention to our environment do we become aware of the absoluteness of the Time. Building therefore has the power to transform, create and safeguard our memories. The choice of the kind of materials and systems then vastly determines the way users interact with the built space.

Why are crafts important?
Craft essentially carry with them the ‘richness of culture’. In the built design they reveal how things have been thought while constructing, thereby suspending and expanding our experience of it. ‘Craft’ and ‘Material’ are the only components which have permanence in the Building. They are the bearers of the traditions, the ethereal quality of Building, and celebrate the essence of it.

What is the intend to achieve by getting human imprint in architecture now when we have technologies which give you similar products and faster construction ?
The presence of human touch is important to me because the quality each Craftsmen and Artisans get in is very unique to the person who made them since it’s a consequence of their knowledge and experience. I feel they bring out the true nature of these materials. Also it leaves so much scope for customization.
And there are replacements of various products available in the market where they have similar items which you can get in much cheaper prices, but it’s similar to why an handmade pot is different than the machine molded ones, always, I think in my case it’s the quality of handmade pot that I aspire to do with my buildings.
